Middle School Community Week Bake Sale

Middle school have been learning about community as part of their Inquiry topic.  Community Week is about being kind and giving back to the community, so we would like to hold an event for our community BBPS. Next week on Friday (23rd June), there will be a bake sale outside the middle school classrooms at morning tea. There will be lots of yummy baked goods, and everything is going to be  $2 or less.

The middle school students will be bringing baking from home, along with an ingredients list to help people with allergies/ dietary requirements to decide what they can safely have.

Middle school will be working very hard to do baking with their families at home, so please come along with your coins and buy something delicious. All the money we raise will be going towards a locally benefitting charity as selected by the Middle School.

We hope to see you all there,

From Middle school.

Tēnā koutou katoa,

Welcome to Bucklands Beach Primary School. My name is Kelly Slater-Brown and I am delighted to have taken up the role of Principal at Bucklands Beach Primary School (B.B.P.S.).

B.B.P.S. is a high performing school with a very strong vision that is clearly and consistently expressed by staff and students. We foster the development of lifelong, independent learning skills, a strong understanding of our responsibility and role in caring for and interacting with our environment, alongside a rich and varied curriculum.   We enjoy a rich mix of diverse cultures, often hosting students from overseas.

The school strives to achieve high levels of academic success especially in the key focus areas of literacy and numeracy. Our aim is that all students leave the school with a strong sense of self-belief and a commitment to be a well-rounded citizen of the world.

There is a strong spirit of community at B.B.P.S., with interested parents and enthusiastic students.  We value strong home-school partnerships, and know these form the basis of students reaching their full potential.

We look forward to working with you to optimise your child’s school experience.

Ngā mihi nui

Kelly Slater-Brown, Principal
